1/2-lb. (8-oz. of a 16-oz. package) Hillshire Farm Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage
1/2-lb. (1-cup measure) of crumbled hamburger meat
1 cup Chopped Vidalia onions
1 large Green pepper cut in medium sliced chunks
1 large Red pepper cut in medium sliced chunks
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 (1-lb. 11-oz. can) Goya (or other brand) Black Beans with juice or two 13.5-oz. cans with juice
1 (8-oz.) can Hunt's Tomato Sauce
1 tablespoon Prepared minced garlic
1 teaspoon Badia Complete Seasoning
1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
1/4 teaspoon Dried Thyme Leaves

DIRECTIONS

On a cutting board with a sharp knife, cut kielbasa or smoked sausage into 1/2-inch circular slices. Put in a large bowl. Add crumbled hamburger meat to bowl. Chop onions and red and green peppers, and add to bowl. Mix with a large spoon. Heat olive oil on medium high heat in a large sauce pan. Empty the bowl ingredients into the sauce pan, combining all ingredients, stirring often until meats brown and vegetables are soft (about 8-10 minutes). Lower temperature to medium heat, if needed. Drain all juices. Add the black beans and tomato sauce and stir until well blended. Add garlic and seasonings. Stir to combine, cover with a lid, allowing one side open slightly for steam to escape. Cook, stirring often for 1 hour until mixture thickens somewhat. (May also cook into a crock pot (sprayed lightly with olive oil) on high for 2 hours or until thickened somewhat.) Serve hot with or without cooked white rice.
