Recipe Ingredients & Directions

INGREDIENTS

2 tbs Olive Oil
1/4 cup red/yellow/green bell peppers, sliced into thin strips
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbs capers
2 tbs Fresh basil
3 oz Creamy Gorgonzola
1 Baguette
pinch salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add peppers and cook for abpout 12 minutes, sprinkle with sugar and cook for another 2 minutes. Add capers, fresh basil, salt & pepper (to taste), set aside. Slice baguette crosswise. Brush pieces with olive oil and cook in oven at 375 (oil side up) for about 7-10 min. (or until golden brown). Top each piecewith the sauteed mixture and small pieces of gorgonzola and return to oven for 2-3 minutes. Serve immedialty.
