5 lb pork roast (bone in recommended, pork shoulder, pork butt, or picnic style)
1 medium brown onion
5 cloves of garlic
2 - 3 T garlic powder
2 - 3 seasoned salt
1 lb lard

Add 1 lb lard to crock pot on low setting. Allow lard to melt. Rub pork roast with seasoned salt and garlic powder generously. Place in crock pot when lard has melted. Add chopped garlic cloves and onion. Cover and let cook for 4 - 6 hours until meat is cooked and falls off the bone. Remove cooked meat from crock pot and place in oven baking dish. Turn oven to broil method. Shred meat with forks in pan. Ladle some of the juice from crock pot that the meat was cooked in to coat the meat before placing into oven. This will keep the meat juicy and keep it from burning. Place the pan into the oven for about 10 - 15 minutes. Check the meat to make sure it's getting brown and crispy and not burning. Turn the meat to allow all sides to broil. Remove from oven and serve with tortillas, beans, rice, and all your favorite fixins. ENJOY!
